5-Bromo-6-fluoro-1-methyl-1,2,3-benzotriazole is a solvate of indazole and is an inhibitor of the enzyme indoleamine 2,3 dioxygenase. This enzyme is involved in the biosynthesis of serotonin and melatonin. 5-Bromo-6-fluoro-1-methyl-1,2,3 benzotriazole may be used as a research tool to study the effects of serotonin on tumor growth or as a therapeutic agent for cancer treatment.
