• Descrição: Ethyl Isonipecotate is an amine that is used as a chemical intermediate in the production of pharmaceuticals. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of histone deacetylases (HDACs) and may be useful for the treatment of inflammatory diseases. HDAC inhibitors, such as Ethyl Isonipecotate, inhibit the enzyme that removes acetyl groups from lysine residues on histones, preventing DNA condensation during transcriptional processes. This effect leads to increased transcription of genes involved in inflammation and immune response. Ethyl Isonipecotate has also been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against human cancer cells. The mechanism of action by which Ethyl Isonipecotate causes cytotoxicity is not known but may involve receptor binding or reaction with nitrogen nucleophiles.
