Etoxazole is an antimicrobial agent that belongs to the oxazolidinone class. It inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the 16S ribosomal RNA, which blocks protein synthesis and cell division. Etoxazole has been shown to be effective against a variety of bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Clostridium perfringens. Etoxazole has also been shown to have synergistic effects with other antibiotics, such as amoxicillin, erythromycin, cefuroxime, and tetracycline.
