4-Ethoxy-1,1,1-trifluoro-3-buten-2-one is an organic compound that is a colorless liquid with a strong odor. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethers and chloroform. 4-Ethoxy-1,1,1-trifluoro-3-buten-2-one is used to synthesize βunsaturated ketones and can be used as an immunosorbent in immunosorbent assays. It has been shown to have hydrogen bond properties when combined with phosphite in an organic solution. 4ETB2O was also modeled by molecular modeling techniques for the study of coordination chemistry.
