Descrição:1,2-Epoxy-3-butoxypropane is a reactive ether that is used in the synthesis of glycidyl ethers. It undergoes intermolecular hydrogen bonding and has been used as a model system to study these reactions. 1,2-Epoxy-3-butoxypropane has been shown to be effective in wastewater treatment and can be converted into epoxides with glycidol. The thermal expansion of epoxy resins is dependent on the molecular weight of their component epoxy groups; this compound has a low molecular weight and therefore exhibits a high thermal expansion coefficient.
