Etoperidone hydrochloride is a drug that is an antagonist of the dopamine D2 receptor. It is used to treat Parkinson's disease and psychosis. Etoperidone hydrochloride binds to the dopamine D2 receptor and blocks its function, which may be due to its ability to inhibit locomotor activity in mice. This drug also inhibits population growth by preventing antibody production, which is essential for fighting infectious diseases.
