Ethyl 3-thiophenacetate is a molecule that has been shown to have phase equilibrium assays, combination effect and specific interaction with other molecules. It has been reported that the ethyl 3-thiophenacetate molecule interacts with other molecules by enthalpic interactions. The efficiencies of this molecule in vitro were tested on mammalian cells and it was found to be biodegradable and non-toxic. This molecule also undergoes a reaction called exciton formation, which causes it to emit light when excited.
