• Descrição: Ethyl phenylpropiolate is a sesquiterpene lactone that has been found to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in tissue culture. It has been shown to inhibit the production of basic proteins, which may be due to its ability to sterically interact with amino acids on the surface of cells. Ethyl phenylpropiolate can also inhibit the activity of enzymes involved in fatty acid synthesis and inflammatory lesions. This chemical has not been tested for skin tumor formation or autoimmune diseases, but it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in a model system.
