Ethyl difluoro(trimethylsilyl)acetate is a synthetic compound used in the synthesis of carbonyl compounds. It is a transfer agent that can be used to generate terminal alkynes from aldehydes and ketones. This chemical has been shown to be useful in the preparation of cross-coupling reactions, such as palladium-catalyzed coupling reactions with chloride and halopyridines.
