5-Ethyl-1-(2-fluorobenzoyl)-5-phenyl-1,3-diazinane-2,4,6-trione is a drug that has been shown to have a depressant effect on the central nervous system. It binds to cytochrome P450 and inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins. 5-Ethyl-1-(2-fluorobenzoyl)-5-phenyl-1,3-diazinane-2,4,6-trione has been shown to be effective in treating intestinal diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. This drug also exhibits significant activation of proliferative activity in various tissues including the cerebral cortex and liver. It also has been shown to exhibit a high degree of covalent immobilization in samples prepared for chromatographic analysis.
