It has been found to have a pharmacophore that consists of an acidic group, a hydrogen bond donor, and a sequence of amino acids. VX944 inhibits kinases in vitro through interactions with the active site. VX944 has also been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. This compound is structurally similar to other alkaloids that are known as growth factors. It also has structural similarities with hydrochloric acid.
