• Descrição: Flucloronide is a synthetic corticosteroid that belongs to the class of anti-infective agents and has been shown to have strong anti-inflammatory properties. It has been used in the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections, as well as autoimmune diseases such as alopecia areata. Flucloronide is also used to treat choroidal neovascularization, which is caused by damage or inflammation to the retina. The drug is delivered topically through microparticles that are biocompatible with mammalian tissue. Flucloronide binds to glucocorticoid receptors on cells and inhibits the production of inflammatory compounds, such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes. This prevents inflammation, swelling, redness, heat, and pain.
