N-Fmoc-L-pipecolinic acid is a tripeptide that is an antagonist of oxytocin. It has been shown to have a high reactivity in the solid phase synthesis, and can be assembled on a solid support such as polystyrene via the Fmoc chemistry. The active ester is synthesized by reacting fmoc-l-pipecolic acid with acid chlorides in sequential steps. The reagents used are chloroacetic acid, N,O-dimethylhydroxylamine hydrochloride, and dimethylaminopyridine. This product also has a high reactivity with other acids such as hexapeptide.
