2-Fluoro-6-(trifluoromethyl)benzoic acid (2F6TBA) is a plant growth regulator that is used to regulate the growth of plants. It prevents the action of auxins, which are compounds that promote cell elongation, by inhibiting their binding to the auxin receptor and thereby blocking the signal transduction pathway. 2-Fluoro-6-(trifluoromethyl)benzoic acid has been shown to be effective in increasing dry weight of rice and soybean plants, as well as stimulating root development in maize seedlings.
