Descrição:
Fmoc-3-aminobenzoic acid is a potent inhibitor of aspartic proteases, which are enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of peptide bonds. It binds to the active site and transition state of the enzyme, and blocks hydrogen bonding to the n-terminal amino group. Fmoc-3-aminobenzoic acid is an isostere of aminobenzoic acid and has been shown to inhibit Alzheimer's disease in cell culture studies.
