Informação sobre produto
1-(2-Fluoroethoxy)-4-Nitrobenzene (1FEN) is a positron emission tomography (PET) radiotracer that is used to study the distribution of chloride channels in the body. It binds to high-affinity chloride receptor sites with an affinity of approximately 1 nM and has been shown to be selective for the human cloned muscarinic M3 receptor. 1FEN has also been shown to bind to areas of cancer cells, which may be due to its ability to modulate chloride channels. This compound also has a high uptake in neurodegenerative disease models, but low uptake in healthy brain tissue. The mechanism by which this compound inhibits cancer cell growth is not known, but it may involve binding to nucleophilic sites on proteins.
