1-(4'-Fluoro-4-biphenylyl)ethanone is a high-yielding organostannane that can be used for the coupling of aryl iodides or bromides with a variety of organic compounds. The catalyst is reusable and can be used under aerobic conditions. It has been shown to be an efficient catalyst for the coupling reaction between water-soluble bromides and tetraethylammonium. This reaction produces coupling products in high yield, with efficient conversion of starting materials to desired products.
