2-[(3-Fluoro-2-Methylphenyl)Amino]-2-Oxoethyl 1,3-Benzodioxole-5-Carboxylate is a reactive dyebath that is used to remove carbon source from wastewater. It is synthesized from trimethylammonium chloride and fatty acids, which are oxidized in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. This reaction produces chloride and hydrogenated byproducts. 2-[(3-Fluoro-2-Methylphenyl)Amino]-2-Oxoethyl 1,3-Benzodioxole-5-Carboxylate has been shown to adsorb amines and other organic compounds with the help of particle size. The adsorption mechanism is unknown but the kinetics are dependent on particle size.
