This peptide fragment inhibits the growth of Candida glabrata by stimulating the production of growth factors such as β1 and colony stimulating factor. It also stimulates the production of integrin receptors, which are important for cell adhesion. H-Gly-Arg-Gly-Glu-Ser-Pro-OH has also been shown to have an antiviral effect in vivo models.
