Glycerol tributyrate inhibits the production of histamine by competing with histidine for binding to the enzyme histidine decarboxylase, which is involved in histamine synthesis. It also prevents the formation of butyric acid, a toxic metabolite of amino acids and fatty acids. The particle size (particle size) of glycerol tributyrate is less than 1 micron, which makes it suitable for oral administration. This product has not been tested on humans or animals for safety or efficacy and should be used only as directed by a veterinarian.
