Guanethidine sulfate is a drug that belongs to the class of drugs called pressor, which are used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It increases the force and rate of contraction of the heart muscle and has antihypertensive activity. It has been shown that guanethidine sulfate is absorbed well after oral administration and is excreted rapidly through the kidneys.
