Descrição:Guggulsterone is a natural product that has been shown to inhibit the activity of DNA polymerase and thus, prevent the synthesis of RNA. It also inhibits the binding of transcription factors, such as NF-κB, to DNA. Guggulsterone has been found to be effective in treating chronic liver diseases and other conditions associated with oxidative stress. It also has anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability to suppress pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-6, which are regulated by toll-like receptor signaling pathways. Guggulsterone also reduces cholesterol absorption through inhibition of the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase.
