HYR-141 is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that binds to the active site of the enzyme gamma-secretase, inhibiting its activity. HYR-141 has been shown to be effective in treating hypertension by lowering blood pressure and reducing cardiac workload in rats. The pharmacokinetic properties of HYR-141 have been studied in mice, and it was found to be rapidly absorbed after oral administration with a bioavailability of about 60%. HYR-141 also has a high level of protein binding, which may contribute to its low potency. This compound also inhibits protease activity and has been shown to reduce amyloid beta production in wild type mice.
