7-Hydroxy-2,3-dihydro-1H-cyclopenta[c]chromen-4-one is a coumarin derivative that has shown to have multiple pharmacological properties. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, as well as to inhibit the production of estrogen. 7-Hydroxy-2,3-dihydro-1H-cyclopenta[c]chromen-4-one inhibits the activity of enzymes involved in chemical reactions including thiophosphate and estrogen synthesis. This compound also inhibits the activity of biotransformed enzymes such as cytochrome P450s and monooxygenases.
