It has low energy and hydrogen fluoride resistance and is a conditioning agent that can be used to reduce the permeability of water in polymer films. This compound has optical properties that are determined by the chemical structure. It is also an effective cross-linking agent for metal surfaces. 1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoroisopropyl methacrylate reacts with fluorine compounds to produce polymer films with high stability.
