Hexachloropropene is a chlorinated compound that contains six chlorine atoms and one carbon atom. This chemical has been shown to cause genotoxic effects in both vitro and in vivo experiments. The reaction mechanism for hexachloropropene is chain reactions with hydrogen fluoride, leading to the formation of reactive radicals.
