Hydroxy acetildenafil is a dietary supplement that has been shown to have the ability to increase blood flow in the penis, which can lead to an erection. This is because hydroxy acetildenafil inhibits phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5), which is an enzyme that breaks down cGMP, a chemical that causes blood vessels in the penis to relax and widen. Hydroxy acetildenafil may also have a matrix effect on sildenafil and other PDE-5 inhibitors. It is not currently approved for use as a treatment for any medical condition and should be used only under the supervision of a physician.
