Rac-4-Hydroxy-3-methoxyphenylethylene glycol has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes that are involved in the synthesis of glucocorticoids. Rac-4-Hydroxy-3-methoxyphenylethylene glycol also inhibits 2 adrenergic receptors in rat brain tissue, which may lead to increased disease activity.
