Informação sobre produto
- N-2-Hydroxyethylpyrrole = 1-(2-Hydroxyethyl)pyrrole
- 2-(1H-pyrrol-1-yl)ethanol
1-(2-Hydroxyethyl)pyrrole is a phosphatidylethanolamine that has been optimized for use in the synthesis of high-density lipoproteins. It can be used as an intermediate to synthesize other compounds, such as dihydrochloride, pyrrole, and p-toluenesulfonic acid. 1-(2-Hydroxyethyl)pyrrole can be prepared by incubating ethanolamine with pyrrole in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid. The reaction is reproducible and gas chromatography analysis of the product showed that the desired product was obtained with a 98% yield. This compound has also been shown to be an inhibitor of oxidative stress in rat liver cells.
