3'-Hydroxyflavanone is an active compound found in Etoac, a plant extract. It has been shown to inhibit the enzyme 4-reductase, which is involved in the biosynthesis of dihydroflavonol. The high-purity steviol glycosides in Etoac are also known for their anti-inflammatory properties and have been shown to be effective at inhibiting infectious diseases such as influenza A and HIV. 3'-Hydroxyflavanone is a natural compound that fits into the category of antimicrobial agents. It has been shown to be active against bacteria, fungi, and yeast by interfering with their cell membranes. 3'-Hydroxyflavanone inhibits the growth of these microorganisms by binding to their membranes and causing them to leak hydrogen ions or other molecules from inside the cell.
