Apigeninidin chloride is a natural compound that has been shown to have antioxidative properties. It has been shown to inhibit the mitochondrial membrane potential, which leads to an increase in oxidative injury and bowel disease. Apigeninidin chloride also inhibits the growth of bacteria through its antimicrobial effects, as well as by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial proteins. Apigeninidin chloride has been shown to have an effect on molecular docking analysis and hl-60 cells, as well as in vitro assays. This compound is found in plants and can be metabolized by plant enzymes into apigeninidic acid or apigenidine.
