Heptadecafluoro-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N-methyloctanesulphonamide is a synthetic surfactant that can be used in a variety of applications, including as an additive in paints to provide hydrophobic properties. It can also be used in coatings and polymers to provide resistance against corrosion. Heptadecafluoro-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N-methyloctanesulphonamide is processable at low temperatures and has a low viscosity, making it suitable for use as a metal salt dispersant. This compound is resistant to monocarboxylic acids, metal cations, and polyvalent anions.
