The compound can exist as either the "cis" or "trans" isomer. 3-Isopropoxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde can also form tautomers, which are compounds that are interconvertible by means of an intramolecular chemical reaction. It has been shown to be synthesized from lamellarin and cyclic sequences. This compound is a synthetic compound that has been found to have anticancer properties in cancer cell assays and in animal models.
