N-Isopropylbutan-1-amine is a chemical compound that can be used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It is an organic compound with the chemical formula CH3CH2CH(NH2)C(CH3)2. The hydroxyl group on the amine is stabilized by an alkyl chain and it has been shown to have a protective effect against heart disease by stabilizing polyurethane, which reduces blood pressure. N-Isopropylbutan-1-amine can also be used as a filler for cellulose derivatives or micron particles and its use in crop plants has been studied as an encapsulation technique. This chemical is not very soluble in water and its solubility increases when it reacts with magnesium ions. N-Isopropylbutan-1-amine is produced synthetically from isopentane, which is an organic compound that does not contain carbon atoms.
