It has a high binding affinity to thromboses and can be used to treat thrombosis. 5-Iodo-1H-pyrazole inhibits the production of virus by inhibiting methyltransferase, which converts methionine into S-adenosylmethionine. The effective dose is 10mg/kg. Pyrazoles are stable complexes of 5-iodo-1H pyrazole with phenols or phenolic acids in water.
