- Benzaldehyde, 3-Iodo-4-Methyl-
3-Iodo-4-methylbenzaldehyde is a ligand that binds to the 5HT7 receptor. It has agonistic properties and can be used as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of neuropathic pain, depression, and other conditions. 3-Iodo-4-methylbenzaldehyde interacts with the 5HT7 receptor by binding to its pharmacophore model, which leads to an increase in neurotransmitter release. 3-Iodo-4-methylbenzaldehyde also has antagonistic properties against biphenyl, which is a known 5HT7 antagonist. This ligand also has functional activity when it interacts with the 5HT7 receptor.
