5-Isopropoxy-1H-pyrazol-3-amine is an ambident organic compound with a molecular formula of C6H8N2O. It is a white crystalline solid that can be found in the form of its hydrochloride salt. 5-Isopropoxy-1H-pyrazol-3-amine has been shown to undergo intramolecular hydrogen bonding, which allows for a proton transfer from the nitrogen atom to the oxygen atom. This suggests that it may be possible for this molecule to catalyze intramolecular reactions, such as an intramolecular hydrogen transfer. Computational study has shown that 5-isopropoxy-1H pyrazol 3 amine can act as a catalyst in the reaction between tetrahydrofuran and ammonia, with no need for external support.
