Isopropyl cyanoacetate is a diazonium salt that reacts with amines to form an isocyanate. It has been used as a light-emitting material in the production of OLEDs and as a reagent for the synthesis of other organic compounds. Isopropyl cyanoacetate has also been used in the synthesis of fungicides and antifungal agents, due to its ability to react with tyrosine residues on cell membranes.
