Descrição:Isoeugenol methyl ether is a plant-derived natural compound that is used in vitro as an antioxidant. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes such as hydroxylase, glucuronidase, and cytochrome P450. Isoeugenol methyl ether has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and may be useful for treatment of colorectal adenocarcinoma. The mechanism by which isoeugenol methyl ether inhibits the enzyme activity is not clear but it may be due to its ability to bind reversibly with free enzyme form.
