1H-Indazole-7-carboxamide is a molecule that has been investigated as a potential anticancer agent. It is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme adenosine diphosphate ribose (ADP-ribose) synthetase and is currently being studied in animal models for its anticancer activity. 1H-Indazole-7-carboxamide binds to ATP and ADP, which are cofactors essential for DNA replication, transcription, and protein synthesis. This agent also slows down the growth of solid tumours by inhibiting the function of proteins involved in cell division. 1H-Indazole-7-carboxamide has also been shown to be effective against inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and Crohn's disease.
