Icarisid II is a drug that has been shown to have an effect on postprandial blood glucose levels. It is used as a control method for the prevention and treatment of squamous cell carcinoma. Icarisid II also inhibits the expression of toll-like receptor 4, which plays an important role in maintaining homeostasis in the body and inhibiting tumor growth. Icarisid II was found to be more effective than icariside when combined with baohuoside for treating melanoma cells. Icarisid II may also act as an EGFR inhibitor and apoptosis pathway activator, enhancing its antitumor activity.
