- 5-Isoxazolemethanamine
Isoxazol-5-yl-methylamine is a molecule that inhibits the activity of acetylcholinesterase. It has high oral bioavailability and an improved potency against acetylcholinesterase, making it an excellent candidate for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Isoxazol-5-yl-methylamine has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase, and has been shown to inhibit analgesia in mice. This drug also enhances the effects of morphine by potentiating morphine's analgesic effect, without causing any additional side effects such as respiratory depression or sedation. The molecule is also able to permeate the blood brain barrier easily, which makes it an ideal candidate for treating Alzheimer's disease.
