Descrição:H-DL-Leu-DL-Phe-OH is a synthetic substrate that has been shown to be a novel chemotactic agent for neutrophil recruitment in vitro. It also inhibits the production of interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-8 in response to lipopolysaccharide (LPS), which are inflammatory cytokines. H-DL-Leu-DL-Phe-OH is also a potent inhibitor of epidermal growth factor receptor, which may explain its role in the inhibition of epidermal growth. H-DL-Leu-DL-Phe-OH has been shown to have beneficial effects on renal function and reduced glomerular filtration rate by stimulating growth factors such as insulin, IGF, and FGF.
