H-Leu-Ser-Phe-OH can be used for the treatment of fibrinogen deficiency, with its ability to cleave fibrinogen at the γ site. The enzyme has also been shown to have an effect on blood coagulation by cleaving fibrinogens at the γ site, thus preventing clot formation.
