Laminin Fragment 925-933 is a biocompatible polymer. It has been shown to be reactive with epithelial cells and mesenchymal cells, and can promote cell proliferation in vitro. This fragment is also capable of binding to epidermal growth factor (EGF) and HIV receptors, which suggests that it may have therapeutic potential for HIV infection and other diseases. Laminin Fragment 925-933 has been shown to promote axonal growth in vivo, which may be due to its ability to activate the EGF receptor.
