Bardoxolone also has anti-inflammatory activities through its inhibition of NF-κB and Nf-kB pathways. Bardoxolone has also been shown to have natriuretic peptide levels in response to renal injury, as well as cardiac effects due to its nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory activity.
