2-Methoxyacetohydrazide is a bicyclic heterocycle that has been shown to have bronchodilating effects. It is converted in vivo to 2-methoxyacetic acid, an intermediate in the synthesis of fatty acids, which may be responsible for its growth-promoting effect. It also displays anti-inflammatory and antipsychotic properties.
