4-Methoxybenzenesulfonohydrazide is a hydrazide that can be prepared by the reaction of 4-methoxybenzenesulfonic acid with hydrazine sulfate in aqueous solution. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of fungi and bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis. This compound can also be used to treat xerophthalmia, which is an eye disease caused by vitamin A deficiency. 4-Methoxybenzenesulfonohydrazide has been shown to cause ultrasonic waves to form due to its chemical structure, which can be used for the treatment of various types of fungal and bacterial infections.
