Informação sobre produto
- 2-methyl-6-nitro-1H-indole
2-Methyl-6-nitro-1H-indole is a potent and selective inhibitor of platelet activation. It inhibits the action of thromboxane A2 synthase, which is an enzyme that converts arachidonic acid to prostaglandin H2. This inhibition leads to a decrease in the production of thromboxane A2, which is believed to be responsible for the antiplatelet effects of 2-methyl-6-nitro-1H-indole. 2-Methyl-6-nitro-1H-indole has been shown to inhibit proteases from human sources, such as chymotrypsin and trypsin. It also has pharmacological effects on human platelets at concentrations that are well below those required for inhibition of proteases.
