Descrição:
4-Methoxy-3-nitrobenzylbromide is a benzyl mercaptan that undergoes stereoselective hydrothiolation reactions. It has been shown to be an efficient method for the synthesis of an anti-cancer agent, rigosertib. Rigosertib inhibits the growth of cancer cells and induces apoptosis by inhibiting the activity of protein kinase C delta (PKCδ). Rigosertib has also been shown to inhibit the activity of arylacetylene synthase, which is involved in the biosynthesis of phenols.
